Peruvian Food at La Mar
When I started planning my trip to San Francisco I asked my followers and friends for all the recommendations on what to do and where to eat. Needless to say…they came through. I was a bit overwhelmed by the amount of responses and restaurant recommendations I received but knew I wanted to try some new types of food I hadn’t had before. Insert, La Mar - a Peruvian restaurant at Pier 1 1/2 on the Embarcadero.
When looking at the menu, some of the items were familiar with a Peruvian twist; and others I had never heard of - like Causa, whipped potatoes topped with seafood, meat, or veggies. La Mar, being right on the water, is a very seafood heavy restaurant and the seafood was QUALITY. So fresh and delicious. Their Signature Cocktails were also outstanding and you can get them in a carafe if you want to share!
