Russian River Brewing Company

If you’re a big craft beer fan you’ve likely heard of Russian River Brewing Company; or at least heard of Pliny the Elder, a double IPA with numerous awards under it’s belt. It wasn’t until we visited the original location in Santa Rosa that I learned about the history of the brewery - what started off as a craft beer initiative from Korbel Champagne Company has now turned into a family owned brewery that is a destination for beer enthusiasts from around the world. You can read more about the history of the brewery on their website here.

After a long day of wine tasting in Napa Valley, we took a nap and then headed to Russian River Brewing Company for beers and dinner. In addition to the hype about the beer, we’d also heard good things about the brewpub menu and it didn’t disappoint. This was a great stop and I’ll definitely be back when I return to Santa Rosa, I’d also love to visit their new 85,000 square foot brewery in Windsor.
