Chopped & Skewed ATX

I love food trucks. Like really love them. And lucky for me the quality of food trucks in Austin is pretty spectacular. This weekend I went to check out Chopped & Skewed at their new location at Skull Mechanix Brewing in South Austin. I had visited their food truck before and loved it when they were on the Eastside but now they are only about 5 minutes from where I live so I have a feeling I’ll be having it a lot more often.

Chopped & Skewed is a play on words originating from Houston’s “Chopped & Screwed” music technique. The truck features awesome fusion food that is a combo of bar and street food from different corners of the world. If you follow me on Instagram I’m sure you know I have a great appreciation for Asian food and ingredients - Chopped & Skewed does a great job incorporating them in their dishes. All their sauces and marmalades are made in-house and food is all cooked to order, you can tell they really care about the quality of their ingredients and what they are putting out to customers.

Check out what I had below - I’m already planning my next trip back!

Not pictured but I also highly recommend the “That’s Corny” which is a spin on elotes - grilled corn off the cob topped with Flamin’ Hot Cheetos, togarashi, cotija cheese, spicy aioli, peppers and fresh herbs. You can check out their full menu here.

As I mentioned before, Chopped & Skewed is located at Skull Mechanix Brewing in South Austin - it’s a great place to grab a few beers and hang out! Let me know if you end up going, I’d love to hear what you think :)
