Best Food at New Orleans Jazz Fest
I’ve been going to the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival with my family since I was a little. Actually, my first Jazz Fest was when I was still in diapers but I don’t exactly remember it :) Something I do remember year after year is all of the amazing food that is offered. The food in New Orleans is already some of the best in the world and Jazz Fest is where you can find all of that greatness in one place.
While some of the food is from local restaurants that have brick & mortars, a lot of it is also from local catering companies. One thing you will notice if you attend the fest every year is that the majority of the vendors and offerings are the same year after year; the food vendors are highly acclaimed and loved by the community. I’m sharing a few of my favorite dishes that are always on the top of my to-eat list below! A full list of the food offered can be found here. If you’ve been to Jazz Fest, let me know what your favorite meals are as well!
Crawfish Sack, Oyster Patties & Crawfish Beignet Trio - the first thing I get every year!
Fried Soft Shell Crab Po-Boy - another favorite year after year!
Crawfish Strudel - this was my first year trying this out and I will definitely be adding it to my list of favorites.
Crawfish Enchiladas - cheesy, gooey, goodness.
And of course it isn’t a trip to NOLA without some boiled crawfish!
Other dishes you should definitely try:
Crawfish Monica
New Orleans Sno-Ball
Pheasant, Quail & Andouille Gumbo
Cochon de Lait Po-Boy
White Chocolate Bread Pudding
What to drink you ask? Other than alcohol…
Strawberry Lemonade (THE BEST!)
Café au Lait (Hot, Iced or Frozen)
Rosemint Herbal Iced Tea
